November 3, 2019November 3, 2019 / Voyagers' Pen / Leave a comment

Long-haul flights are easy to manage for some. They get to their seat, put in some earbuds and are snoring away while engines kick into motion, snoozing before take-off is even complete. Others find sleeping on a flight difficult. The coughing passengers, crying babies and the anticipation of arriving at your destination can make it … Continue reading Surviving a Sleepless Flight

Air travel, it isn't for everyone. Maybe it is a fear of flying. Perhaps the thought of breathing the same recycled air of 200 total strangers in an aluminum can, 30,000+ feet in the air is less than appealing. Whatever the reasoning may be, a cruise can be a rewarding alternative to flying. If you … Continue reading Not a flyer? Take a Cruise!

Cramming so much into a short time can leave us feeling drained. It happens to everyone. With that said, returning from an amazing trip can result in that "I need a vacation from my vacation" feeling. Which is why we often choose to have a buffer day--or more if you're like Katie and I--to recover … Continue reading Needing a Vacation from Vacation? Do less!

Literary Travels: Edinburgh

August 29, 2019September 2, 2019 / Voyagers' Pen / Leave a comment

You need only to step outside into the streets of old town Edinburgh to feel like you have been transported through time. History oozes from the very stones of the castle at the end of the Royal Mile and floats on the damp air of every close. Stepping from the shadows of one close to … Continue reading Literary Travels: Edinburgh

Attention, Readers

We’re two writers who took on the Emerald Isle and Caledonia. Some months later, we marched the cobblestone pavements of Boston and Salem. Katie, then, ventured solo to London! After a year off, we are brainstorming the next endeavor for the new decade. The Voyagers assure you every little tidbit is on here! It’s just that there’s still a bit of a tech learning curve.

As writers, we are also readers. Readers of everything we can get our hands on. From historical fiction to creative non-fiction, we find inhalation at every turn. After graduating from The Ohio State University, both of us with a B.A. in English & Creative Writing, we were looking for our next great escapade. With our wanderlust natures, it’s instinctive that all our readings instill a strong desire to visit the places we touched only in our reader minds. And thus, our little blog of documenting adventures has been born! Join us on our next big adventure as we drift towards uncharted territory!
